Ushta Davar Canteenwalla, MS, LCGC, the founder of FiND Genetics is a board certified licensed genetic counselor with nearly 20 yrs experience in clinical genetics. Having a deep understanding of each person’s concerns and questions to guide them towards answers that are true to them is her passion.

What’s in A Name?

Whether it’s in our work or in our day to day actions, we’re often drawn to what brings meaning into our lives. After speaking with countless individuals who wished they received more support in understanding genetic testing and results, I finally decided to take a leap and leave my full time job. I knew that I had to find a way to enhance the way that we deliver genetics support and information. The past few years have seen a boom in genetic testing offerings, yet we have barely begun to modify the way that we deliver clinical care as a result of this technology. The name FiND Genetics reminds me to stay true to what I am most passionate about- to help others discover their answers; and of course my longstanding passion- my family (F, N, and D are initials of my children).
